Your performance was flawless. No showboating...just a slow buildup and perfect delivery of a very emotional song. I Tivo'ed the show and have enjoyed watching your performance a few times. Now i know that you prolly get alot of fan mail from some pretty crazy poeple and they tell you crazy things like they are some how related or they are your biggest fan or something far more crazy. Well I'm a vety honest person. And what I'm about to say, you can chose to believe it or discard it. Whetever. But I just recently discovered that you and I are distantly related. Your great great grandparents grew up in South Dakota and so did mine, or atleast someone in your family did. Our grandparents are two different races ( no offense). So that explains why we are different races. I'm not totally sure how exactly we are related, and how close we are, but just knowing that makes me really excitied. You would have to do major research to find out how, and what I've found is that our great great great grandparents grew up together and then married. Or it's something like that. I thought you did a beautiful rendition of Someday We'll Be Together. I was elated to hear it again live. My only comment is that I bet you did not know that Diana Ross has not sung that song in public since 1970. It was not even sung during her Return To Love Tour in 2000. Diana Ross has issues with that song. "Someday We'll Be Together" was supposed to be Diana's first solo song. Berry Gordy needed a hit for the Supremes to end on and put the song out as a "Diana Ross and the Supremes" song. The Supremes never sung background on the song. The female backers was a group called the Andantes. The male voice that you hear during the original release was Johnny Bristol. I have followed Miss Ross for a long time. Thanks to Ms. Sparks for participating in the salute. You have a wonderful voice.

She did a very nice job. I think the honorees were very impressed. And thanks for taking time on this very special day to write to her fans. We appreciate it.

Hi, this is my first post. I wanted to let Jordin know that she is inspiring many people. It was great to see her step into the stage and sing to Diana Ross, she looked to be very emotional.

We will be sure to watch the show at the Kennedy Center on the 26th. I may have to drive up from Richmond to see it. LOL. Is it live? But that is no problem for you. I know you feel great performing live in front of millions. I looked at the Billboard and see that your album is doing fine. Look at all the amazing people who are on the other side of 25!! I wanted to thank you for your music.

Let me explain.
There is this guy, who I am completely in love with, and he moved recently to a different state. The first time I heard Permanent Monday, I burst into tears. Whenever I miss him, I just pop in your cd. You've help me through one of the toughest things I've ever faced. Within the next week, while he is home for Christmas, I;m going to tell him I like him.
