I have been depressed enough that when someone on the road (when im driving) pulls out in front of me (or trys to) and stops and realizes im there, i sometimes PRAY that they dont stop in time and end up hitting me and end the emotional pain i have. I know my pain isnt as bad as others but that doesnt mean it hurts just as bad. I am a gay man of 21 years of age and have delt with emotional and physical abuse with relationships and i havent been in a relationship in almost a year because of it and I'm having trouble letting others get close too. But from Jordin's most recent hit... One Step At A Time, I feel that with each step, bad or good, it helps us get to the thing we want the most. Even if the step is a bad one (like if you were to trip and fall going up the stairs) you still stand up and continue to climb the stairs. I honestly sing my heart out with that song when it comes on.

If Jordin is reading this... If you wrote One Step At A Time or not, it doesn't matter, your voice with those lyrics have touched me and made me realize I have just been dealing with a trip/fall on the stairs that I have been climbing to the life that I want. Your song Jordin will always bring me up, with tears or not... and I want to thank you for touching me with that song. I dont think you realize how much that song means to me.

I wish Jordin the best in life and I will be a fan of hers for all time.
