Jordin will be a guest judge for this year’s Doodle 4 Google competition. The winning doodler’s artwork will be featured on Google’s homepage where millions of visitors will see it. In addition, the lucky winner will get a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 tech grant for their school. Jordin recently joined the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on a Holiday Tour of USO stations overseas. So far, the tour has visited more than 7 military locations and lifted the spirits of more than 3,100 service men and women stationed in Kuwait. Among some of the places visited so far, the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait, Camp Buehring, Camp Virginia and Camp Arifjan among others. The upcoming “Sparkle” actress graces the Winter in Venice white carpet
— at The Venetian Las Vegas.
Jordin Sparks helped kick off the inaugural celebration of Winter in Venice at The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas on Nov. 21 with a complimentary performance on the Las Vegas Strip’s only outdoor ice skating rink. The evening included a 65-foot LED holiday tree, candy cane stilt walkers, snow angels, jesters, toy soldiers and much more. The debut of the “Nightly Holiday Spectacular” drew gasps and applause from the overflowing audience as the entire front of the building lit up in flashing lights, lasers and larger-than-life snowflakes. The first true celebration of the winter season on the Las Vegas Strip, Winter in Venice runs through Jan. 8, 2012....
